Purpose
The Amhara Association in Dallas (AAD) operates under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code with the primary aim of generating funds to support the Amhara people in Ethiopia in various critical areas, such as Humanitarian Assistance, Advocacy and Economic Development.
Vision
The vision of AAD is to envision a thriving and empowered Amhara community, united in solidarity and dedicated to preserving the rich heritage, dignity, and prosperity of the Amhara people in Ethiopia. Our vision is to foster a strong sense of belonging and empowerment among the Amhara diaspora in the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area, leading to meaningful contributions towards humanitarian aid, advocacy for human rights and economic development, and the preservation of Amhara cultural, historical and social values for generation to come.
Mission
The mission of the organization is dedicated to serving, supporting, and advancing the interests of the Amhara people in Ethiopia. The organization aim is to mobilize the Amhara community in the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area to provide humanitarian assistance, advocate for the human rights and economic development of the Amhara people, and safeguard Amhara cultural, historical and social values in Ethiopia.
